Volleyball to Participate in CIAA Round-Up hosted by Shaw/St. Augustine’s Saturday and Sunday

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University volleyball team will travel to Raleigh, North Carolina, Saturday, October 8th, to take on Virginia State University and Elizabeth City State University; with a following match on Sunday, October 9th, against Lincoln University (PA) in the CIAA South Round-Up.

Last Time Out
The Winston-Salem State University volleyball team swept Salem University (25-19, 25-19, 25-18) Wednesday night inside Whitaker Gymnasium. The Rams move to (7-9, 3-4 CIAA), while Salem drops to 0-23.

The Trojans fell to Elizabeth City State (2-3) in the fifth set. The CIAA digs leader Najlaa Williams led the match with 19 digs, giving her a new career high.

 Four Vikings tied for lead in kills (Nylissa SnaggVictoria WhiteJada RouseElizabeth Kellum) that led to a 3-0 straight sets victory over Bowie State.
Scouting Lincoln University (P.A.)
The Lions competed in a tough four-set game against the Virginia Union Panthers, ultimately losing (3-1). Erinn Taylor led the team taking full advantage with seven kills on ten attempts and zero errors.
