WINSTON-SALEM, N.C- The Winston-Salem State University team defeated Claflin University Thursday evening inside Whitaker Gymnasium.

The Rams won the match 3-1 (25-15, 25-17, 25-13, 25-9), improving to (10-15, 7-6 CIAA).
 
How it Happened
Set one, the Rams came out on fire quickly gaining the lead taking the set 25-15. In set two, the Panthers bounced back using a 5-0 run to take the lead and didn't look back, winning the set 25-17 and tying the match at 1-1. The Rams took the momentum back to close out the match, dominating set three, 25-13 then set four 25-9.
