Men’s Basketball travels to Lander University on Wednesday, plays Bloomfield College in the Harlem Renaissance Classic on Saturday

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team will travel to Greenwood, South Carolina on Wednesday, November 22nd, to take on the Bearcats of Lander University.
Later in the week, the Rams will travel to New York, New York, on Saturday, November 25th to play in the Harlem Renaissance Classic against Bloomfield College.

Series Information vs. Bearcats
This will be the first-ever match-up between the Rams and the Bearcats.

Last Time Out
The Rams defeated Virginia Union 65-56 in the Chris Paul HBCU Tip-Off Championship game. Isaac Parson led the Rams with 16 points and six rebounds. Imajae Dodd recorded a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds, and Jaylen Alston scored 10 points.
 
Rams Returners:
The Rams brought back seven returners from last year's team, sophomores Jeremy Dixon, Ketron "KC Shaw, juniors Ralph Bland, Stefon McLead, Isaac Parson, senior Jaylen Alston, and graduate student Jaylin Parker.
 
Ram Newcomers:
The Rams welcomed newcomers Lance Gill, Myles Pettis, Antonio Perkins, Camyl Witherspoon, Devon Bristow, Daylin Brandon, Tristan Davis, Tyrhe Fortney, Jahnarious Snell, Clint Wickliffe, and Imajae Dodd.
 
CIAA Preseason:
Isaac Parson was named to the All-CIAA preseason team Backcourt and Jaylen Alston was named to the All-CIAA Frontcourt team. Overall, the Rams were selected to finish fourth in the season poll and third in the Southern Division.
 
D2SIDA Atlantic Regional Poll
The men were ranked 6th this week in the D2SIDA Atlantic Regional Poll after wins over the University of Mount Olive, Tuskegee University and Virginia Union last week.
 
Scouting Report
Winston-Salem State University (4-1, 0-0 CIAA). The Rams are led in scoring by Jaylen Alston with 17 points per game and Isaac Parson 15.8 points. The Rams are averaging 72 points a game, while allowing 66 points
 
Lander University (2-1, 0-0 CIAA) defeated Virginia State University 83-55 Sunday, November 19th.  Phillip Burwell led the Bearcats with 22 points, while Dominic Stanford recorded a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
 
Jacob Cooper is the Bearcats leading scorer with 20 points a game, followed by Phillip Burwell with 13.3 points. The Bearcats are averaging 82.7 points per game and only allowing 68.3 points per game.
 
Bloomfield College (3-1, 0-0 CACC) defeated Molloy University 91-82 on Saturday, November 18th. Robby Matos led the Bears with 24 points and dished out six assists. Followed by Billy Reyes with 16 points, Mick Browne had 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
 
Al Fatir Connor is the Bears leading scorer with 16 points per game, followed by Devion Ellis with 11.3 points. Edward Negene is averaging 10.5 rebounds a game.

The Rams will travel to Harrogate, Tennessee on Wednesday, November 29th taking on Lincoln Memorial University at 6:00 p.m.
