JACKSON, TN. – The Winston-Salem State University volleyball team fell to Lane College Thursday evening inside J F Lane Gymnasium in four sets (17-25, 21-25, 25-14, 20-25).
The Rams are now 0-1 on the season.
How it Happened
Set one was evenly matched then the Dragons went on a 5-0 scoring run to take a 15-10 lead before increasing their lead by five to reach 20 first. They took the set 25-17.
In set two, points were exchanged back and forth but Lane won the set 25-21.
The Rams came back in set three starting out with a 4-1 lead. Lane eventually tied the match at 11 but a few kills from WSSU helped them secure the set with a score of 25-14.
Lane took the fourth and final set with a score of 25-20.
