DURHAM, N.C. - The Winston-Salem State University football team fought hard in the second half but fell to #19 North Carolina Central Saturday night inside O-Kelly Riddick Stadium.
The Rams moved to (0-1) on the season while the Eagles improved to (1-0).
It was all Eagles the first half as they went into halftime leading 37-0. The Rams managed to turn things around tremendously in the second half out-scoring the Eagles 21-10. In the end the Eagles defeated WSSU 47-10.

- The Eagles scored two touchdowns in the first quarter, then added two more in the second quarter.
- True Freshman, Daylin Lee earned the start and threw his first touchdown pass of the season to Trevon Hester in the third quarter.
- His next pass went to Caleb Rayner in the fourth quarter and towards the end of the game he ran for an 8-yard touchdown.
