WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team will open their home slate on Saturday, November 16th, taking on Francis Marion University at 4:00 p.m. inside the C.E. Gaines Center.

Rams Returners:
The Rams brought back four returners from last year's team, sophomore Lance Gill, juniors Stefon McLeod, and Jeremy Dixon, and senior Ralph Bland. 
 
Ram Newcomers:
The Rams welcomed 11 newcomers' freshmen's CJ Alston, Khyelle Ingram, Samuel Newkirk, Samuel Hood, redshirt freshman Masaun Moore-Byrant, sophomores Jaiden Thompson, and Wesley Tubbs, juniors Lorenzo Caldwell, Tyre Boykin, Abou Camara and senior Micah Jones. 

CIAA Preseason/Poll
Overall, the Rams were selected to finish fifth in the CIAA preseason poll.

Last Time Out
The Rams fell to Gannon University 101-74 on Sunday, November 9th. Micah Jones led the Rams with 18 points, Lorenzo Caldwell scored 14 points and nine rebounds, followed by Welsey Tubbs III chipped in with eight points. 

Scouting Report
The Rams are led by Micah Jones with 18 points a game, followed by Jeremy Dixon with 11.5 points, Wesley Tubb III 11 points and Lorenzo Caldwell averaging 10 points. 

Francis Marion University (1-2, 0-0 CC)
The Patriots defeated Columbus University 85-76 on Wednesday, November 13th. Horaces Jacques Jr leads the Patriots in scoring with 13.3 points, followed by Jordan Simpsons 13 points, AJ Hamrick with 11.3 points and Alex Atkinson scoring 10.3 points.  The Patriots are scoring 83.0 per game.
