WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University football team defeated Fayetteville State in double overtime 37-31 inside Bowman Gray Stadium on homecoming.
The Rams improved to 7-3 (5-2 CIAA) on the season.

Daylin Lee threw for 21-for-37 on 199 yards and three touchdowns.

Asa Barnes had 18 attempts on 74 yards and one touchdown.

Kaleb Washington had five receptions for 77 yards and two touchdowns.

Dante Bowlding led the Rams with eight tackles (5 solo), 1.0 tackle for loss and one pass breakup.
How It happened

Gabriel Linen had a 12-yard pass from Lee to put the Rams on the board first. (7-0 Rams).
• FSU tied the game in the second quarter with 4:41 to play.
•
Gilberto Lorenzana kicked a 35-yard field goal to give the Rams a 10-7 lead.
• The Broncos Caden Davis had a one-yard run to put Fayetteville ahead 14-10 with 3:29 left in the fourth quarter.

Kaleb Washington caught a 24-yard pass from Lee to put the Rams back in the lead, 17-14 with 14:24 to play in the fourth quarter.
• FSU went ahead 21-17 with 7:22 to play in the fourth.

Asa Barnes had a 7-yard run touchdown to put the Rams ahead 24-21.
• FSU's kicker made a 37-yard field goal to tie the game at 24-all and force overtime.
• In the first overtime, Lee had a four-yard run and with the extra point the Rams went ahead 31-24.
