WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team will conclude the regular season on the road this week. The Rams will first travel to Raleigh, North Carolina, on Thursday, February 22nd taking on Shaw University. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. inside C.C. Spaulding Gymnasium. The Rams will wrap up the regular season on Saturday, February 24th, taking on Livingstone College. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. inside New Trent Gymnasium.

Series Information vs. Shaw University
Since 2006 this will be the 29th match-up between the Rams and Bears. The Rams lead the series 15-13. This will be the second match-up between the Rams and Bears this season. The Rams won the first match-up this season 74-70 on January 24th, 2024.

CIAA Preseason:
Isaac Parson was named to the All-CIAA preseason team Backcourt and
Jaylen Alston was named to the All-CIAA Frontcourt team. Overall, the Rams were selected to finish fourth in the season poll and third in the Southern Division.

The men were ranked 10th this week after wins over Fayetteville State on February 13th, then Virginia Union on February 17th.

The Bears defeated Johnson C. Smith University 76-72 on Saturday, February 17th. Jamari Roberts led the Bears with a double-double 18 points and 12 rebounds, followed by Corey Rutherford with 15 points, Shayne Saigo scored 11 points with eight rebounds and DJ Thomas chipped in with 10 points. Shayne Saigo is the Bears leading scorer averaging 14.2 points a game, followed by DJ Thomas with 13.9 points per game.
The Bears are scoring 75.8 points a game.
Livingstone College (12-13, 8-8 CIAA)
The Blue Bears fell to Fayetteville State University 75-50 on Saturday, February 17th. Detionne Leach led the Blue Bears with 13 points, followed by Khyree Temple with 10 points. Khyree Temple is the Blue Bears leading scorer averaging 13.7 points a game.
The Blue Bears are averaging 75.8 points per game.
