ETTRICK, VIRGINIA – The Winston-Salem State University women's tennis team fell to Virginia State Friday afternoon in the quarterfinals of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA).
VSU won the match 4-0 to advance to the semifinals.

In doubles, VSU won #2 doubles, #3 doubles, and #1 doubles went unfinished.

In singles, VSU swept the Rams, but Semmie Moore and Brooke Higgins were leading their matches but both of them went unfinished.

WSSU's head coach Harold Moore was recognized as the CIAA Coach of the Year, while Semmie Moore was named to the All-CIAA team.
