WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- The Winston-Salem State University football team looks to start the regular season off strong as they travel up to Bluefield, West Virginia. The Rams will take on the Big Blue of Bluefield State University, on Saturday, August 31st. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. inside Mitchell Stadium.

Last Time vs. Bluefield State 
The Ram defense dominated leading to a 30-0 shutout victory, on September 23rd, 2023. The defense forced four turnovers. Two of the turnovers came off fumbles. First Camar Kyle had an 84-yard fumble recovery, then Dante Bowlding with a 56-yard scoop and score for a touchdown.
  
CIAA Pre-Season/Poll
The Rams were picked sixth overall during the preseason poll.

CIAA Pre-Season Team 
Four Rams were selected to the ALL-CIAA Preseason team this year. On the defensive side senior defensive end Camar Kyle, senior defensive back Justin Fleming, and junior transfer defensive lineman Jaylin Norris. On the offensive side, senior offensive lineman Duris McDuffie.
