Men’s Basketball Host Virginia University of Lynchburg Tuesday

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team will play Virginia University of Lynchburg, for their home opener on November 18. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. inside the C.E. Gaines Center.

This will be the first-ever meeting between the Rams and Dragons. 

Rams Returners:
The Rams brought back eight returners from last year's team, sophomores CJ AlstonKhyelle IngramSamuel Newkirk, redshirt sophomore Masaun Bryant, juniors Lance Gill and Jaiden Thompson, senior Abou Camara and redshirt senior Tyre Boykin.
  
Ram Newcomers:
During the off-season the Rams welcomed seven newcomers, freshmen Bryson Cowan, Arrington Kee, sophomores Treyton "Tre" Crite, and Isaiah Sutherland, seniors Demetri Patterson and Isaish Ray and redshirt senior Ethan English.
                                                          
CIAA Preseason/Poll
 Overall, the Rams were selected to finish 12th in the CIAA preseason poll.

Last Time Out
The Rams fell to Shepherd University 63-52 on November 15. Tyre Boykin led the Rams with 16 points, followed by Abou Camara with eight points and 11 rebounds.

Scouting Report 
Tyre Boykin is the Rams leading scorer with 20.5 per game, followed by Ethan English with 10.0 points per game. 

Virginia University of Lynchburg (0-4, 0-0 ODAC)
The Dragons fell to Alabama State 124-68 on November 14. Jarek Sasser is the Dragons leading soccer with 12.0 points per game, followed by Dontate Creedland with 11.0 points per game. The Dragons are averaging 58.0 points a game.
