Winston-Salem, N.C– The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team defeated Belmont Abbey College 76-68 Thursday night inside the C.E. Gaines Center.
The Rams improved to (5-5, 1-1 CIAA).
Khyelle Ingram led the Rams with 15 points, followed by
Ethan English with 13 and
Isaiah Ray with 11 points.

In the first half, the Crusaders jumped out to an early 9-2 lead, on a lay-up (15:57). The Rams went on a 14-2 run, taking a 16-11 lead on
Ethan English three-pointer (10:35). WSSU extended their lead to 20-13, on a
Khyelle Ingram lay-up (8:32). The Crusaders cut the lead down to 20-17 with a lay-up (6;31). A
Jaiden Thompson three-pointer gave the Rams a 27-20 lead (2:33). WSSU took a 29-25 lead into halftime.
In the second half, the Crusaders went on a 7-0 run tying the game at 34-34 on a jumper (16:49). Belmont went on a 5-1 run, taking a 42-38 lead on a three-pointer (13:36). A
Isaiah Ray three-pointer gave the Rams a 47-45 lead (11:41).
Isaiah Ray extended the lead to 51-47 on a lay-up (10;21). Belmont went on a 6-0 run, taking a 53-51 lead (9:28). A
