Men’s Basketball to Play Johnson C. Smith Tuesday, Travel to Fayetteville State Thursday

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team is set to host Johnson C. Smith University, on Tuesday, February 11th. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. inside the C.E. Gaines Center. 
 
The men will hit the road on Thursday, February 13th, taking on Fayetteville State University. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 inside the Felton J. Capel Arena.

Series Information vs. Johnson C. Smith University 
Since 2006, the Rams lead the series 18-12. This will be the second match-up this season. Last time, the Golden Bulls defeated the Rams 64-42 on January 30th, 2025.  
 
Series Information vs. Fayetteville State University 
Since 2006 this will be the 33rd meeting between the Rams and Broncos. The Rams currently lead the series 23-9. This will be the second match-up this season. Last time, the Broncos defeated WSSU 80-65 on January 20th, 2025.  
 
Rams Returners:
The Rams brought back four returners from last year's team, sophomore Lance Gill, junior Jeremy Dixon, seniors Ralph Bland and Stefon McLeod.
 
Ram Newcomers:
During the off-season the Rams welcomed 11 newcomers freshman's CJ Alston, Khyelle Ingram, Samuel Newkirk, redshirt freshman Masaun Moore-Bryant, sophomores Jaiden Thompson, Wesley Tubbs juniors Lorenzo Caldwell, Tyre Boykin, Abou Camara, J'vonni Roblejo, and senior Micah Jones
 
CIAA Preseason/Poll
 Overall, the Rams were selected to finish fifth in the CIAA preseason poll.
 
CIAA Weekly Awards Last Time Out
The Rams fell to Claflin University 73-63 on Saturday, February 8th. Micah Jones led the Rams with 13 points, followed by Lance Gill with 11 points.
