Men’s Basketball Concludes Regular Season Hosting Livingstone Saturday For Senior Day

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball will wrap up the regular season, on Saturday, February 22nd hosting Livingstone College. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. inside the Lawrence Joel Veterans Coliseum.

Series Information vs. Livingstone College 
Since 2006, the series is currently tied 16-16. This will be the second match-up this season. Last time, the Blue Bears defeated the Rams 64-59 on February 1st, 2025.

Rams Returners:
The Rams brought back four returners from last year's team, sophomore Lance Gill, junior Jeremy Dixon, seniors Ralph Bland and.Stefon McLeod.

During the off-season, the Rams welcomed 11 newcomers freshman CJ Alston, Khyelle Ingram, Samuel Newkirk, redshirt freshman Masaun Moore-Bryant, sophomores Jaiden Thompson, Wesley Tubbs juniors Lorenzo Caldwell, Tyre Boykin, Abou Camara, J'vonni Roblejo, and senior Micah Jones
 
CIAA Preseason/Poll
 Overall, the Rams were selected to finish fifth in the CIAA preseason poll.

CIAA Weekly Awards
•    Khyelle Ingram was named Rookie of the Week for week 6. 

Last Time Out
The Rams fell to Fayetteville State University 73-54 on Saturday, February 13th. Tyre Boykin led the Rams with 20 points, followed by Jeremy Dixon with 10 points and eight rebounds.

Scouting Report
The Rams are led in scoring by Tyre Boykin with 13.9 points a game, followed by Micah Jones with 13.5 points. WSSU is averaging 65.5 points per game.

Livingstone College (12-14, 4-11 CIAA, 3-6 South)
The Blue Bears fell to Johnson C. Smith 62-51 on Tuesday, February 18th.  The Blue Bears are led in scoring by Jamal Cannedy Jr with 16.5 points followed by Teon Tiller with 11.6 points, and James Nipper with 11.0 points. JCSU is averaging 75.0 points per game.
