Winston-Salem, NC – Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) is excited to unveil the official themes and recognition days for the 2025 Rams Football season. This year's lineup celebrates the vibrant spirit of Ram Nation with themed game days that honor the campus community, alumni, supporters, and key partners.

Each game features a unique theme designed to enhance the fan experience, recognize outstanding contributions, and build on the traditions that make WSSU football unforgettable.

Football Theme Games
1. Saturday, September 13 - Greek Day vs. Lincoln University – 6:00 p.m.
Theme: Faculty/Staff Appreciation
Special Recognitions: Adobe | Hall of Fame Game
WSSU kicks off the season celebrating campus unity with Greek Day, honoring the service and dedication of faculty and staff. Adobe will be recognized for its continued partnership, and WSSU legends will be inducted during the prestigious Hall of Fame Game.

2. Saturday, September 20 - Black Out vs. Virginia State University – 1:00 p.m.
Theme: HORN$ Appreciation
Special Recognitions: Chancellor's Installation
Fans are encouraged to wear all black as we salute the HORN$ members for their impact and celebrate a new chapter in university leadership with the installation of WSSU's new chancellor, Bonita Brown.

3. Saturday, October 4 - Pink Out vs. Virginia Union University – 1:00 p.m.
Theme:  Pink Out - Mental Health Awareness
Special Recognitions: Open House | Senior Day | Cheer Explosion | First Responders
The Rams take the field in support of mental health awareness. This powerful day also features a campus-wide open house, recognition of our senior student-athletes, high-energy performances at Cheer Explosion, and a heartfelt thank-you to our community's first responders.

4. Saturday, October 18 - Red Out (Homecoming) vs. Livingstone College – 1:30 p.m.
Theme: Red Out
Special Recognitions: BCBS - HOMECOMING
The biggest celebration of the season—Red Out Homecoming—is sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield. Alumni, students, and fans are invited to flood the stands in red as we celebrate Ram pride and tradition.
