Football Looks to Bounce Back at Bowie State Saturday Afternoon

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- The Winston-Salem State University football team will travel to Bowie, Maryland, taking on Bowie State University on Saturday September 27th. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. inside Bulldog Stadium.

The Rams fell to the Trojans 34-33, on Saturday, September 20th. Daylin Lee went 20-31 with 338 passing yards with two passing touchdowns. Davontay Deloatch had seven catches for 60 yards and a receiving touchdowns. Jamieson "Jupe" Alston led with eight total tackles. 
 
Last Time Out Bowie State vs. Livingstone College 
 
The Bulldogs fell to Livingstone College 17-16 , on Saturday, September 20th. Kevin Terry went 12-for-27 recording 104 passing yards and two touchdown passes. Maximus Jones on 15 attempts rushed for 122 yards. Moses Sarweh recorded eight total tackles.  
 
Last Time Out vs. Bowie State University 
 
The Rams defeated the Bulldogs 28-14, on Saturday, September 28th 2024. Daylin Lee went 13-for-25 for 188 passing yards and three passing touchdowns. Trevon Hester rushed for 76 yards. Justin Fleming led with nine total tackles.  
 
CIAA Pre-Season/Poll 
 
The Rams were picked to finish fifth in the preseason poll.

Three Rams were selected to the All-CIAA Preseason Team this year.  Junior quarterback Daylin Lee along with teammates, junior tightend Devin Cunningham and senior offensive lineman Elijah Gordan. 
 
CIAA Weekly Award 
 
  • Christian Brown was named Special Team Player of the Week for week one, while Austin Pittman was named Offensive Lineman of the Week for week one. 
  • Quarterback Daylin Lee & teammates offensive lineman Zarie Falls and defensive line Christopher "CJ" Brown" all took weekly honors for week two.
