WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- The Rams will continue their road trip, traveling to Orangeburg, South Carolina, taking on Claflin University on January 21. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. inside the Tullis Arena. 

The men will wrap up the road trip, traveling to Fayetteville, North Carolina, taking on Fayetteville State University on January 24. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. inside Felton J. Capel Arena.

Series Information vs. Claflin University  
Since 2015, the Panthers have led the series 9-7. Last time out, the Rams fell to the Panthers 73-63 on February 8, 2025.

Since 2006, the Rams have led the series 22-11. Last time out, the Rams fell to the Broncos 73-58 on February 13, 2025. 

Rams Returners:
The Rams brought back eight returners from last year's team, sophomores CJ Alston, Khyelle Ingram, Samuel Newkirk, redshirt sophomore Masaun Bryant, juniors Lance Gill and Jaiden Thompson, senior Abou Camara and redshirt senior Tyre Boykin.
  
Ram Newcomers:
During the off-season the Rams welcomed seven newcomers, freshmen Bryson Cowan, Arrington Kee, sophomores Treyton "Tre" Crite and Isaiah Sutherland; seniors Demetri Patterson and Isaiah Ray and redshirt senior Ethan English.

Overall, the Rams were selected to finish 12th in the CIAA preseason poll.

CIAA Weekly Awards 

• Abou Camara was named CIAA Defensive Player of the Week for week eight. 

Last Time Out
The Rams fell to Shaw University 85-69 on January 17. Tyre Boykin led the Rams with 19 points, followed by  Khyelle Ingram with 16 points, and Masaun Byrant chipped in 12 points. 

Scouting Report 
Tyre Boykin is the Rams' leading scorer with 20.1 points per game, followed by Khyelle Ingram with 10.2 points per game. WSSU is averaging 75.0 points per game. 

Claflin University (9-7, 6-1 CIAA) 
The Bears defeated Livingstone 67-53 on January 17. Ramere Draper and Alex Atkinson leads the Panthers in scoring with 12.2 points per game, followed by Horace Jacques Jr. with 10.3 points per game. Claflin is averaging 79.9 per game. 

Fayetteville State University (11-6, 5-2 CIAA) 
The Broncos defeated USC Beaufort 114-112 on January 19. Larry Howell leads the Broncos in scoring with 21.0 points per game, followed by Ezekiel Cannedy with 18.4 points per game. Shaw is averaging 88.6 per game.
