WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - For the third time this season, Breonna Roaf from the Winston-Salem State women's basketball team has been named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women's Rookie of the Week for week ten, the league announced Tuesday morning.

Roaf continued her strong freshman campaign with a high-activity defensive week that fueled Winston-Salem State's backcourt and helped the Rams produce a 2–0 record. The freshman point guard totaled 19 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and nine steals while shooting 5-for-11 from the field and a perfect 8-for-8 at the free throw line. 

Her best performance came on January 13 against Virginia State, where she recorded 11 points, six rebounds, three assists, and a season-high six steals in a 67–52 win. Roaf added eight points and three steals in a road win at Shaw, continuing to provide efficient scoring, perimeter defense, and mature decision-making at the lead guard spot. 

Roaf and the Rams will be back in action on tomorrow, January 21 at Claflin. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
