CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Winston-Salem State University football standouts Sean Walker, Jr. and Christopher "CJ" Brown have been named Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Football Players of the Week following their performances in the Rams' 21-14 road victory over Lincoln University (Pa.) on Saturday, Oct. 24.

Walker Jr. was named CIAA Receiver of the Week, while Brown earned Defensive Lineman of the Week honors. Their performances helped Winston-Salem State secure its second consecutive victory, extending the Rams' winning streak to two games.

Walker Jr. led the Rams' receiving attack with four receptions for 113 yards and a touchdown against the Lions. He averaged 28.3 yards per reception and recorded a long reception of 75 yards. His third-quarter touchdown reception gave Winston-Salem State a 14-7 lead, providing a pivotal scoring play in the Rams' road victory.

Brown made his presence felt on the defensive side, finishing with five solo tackles, two tackles for loss totaling 9 yards and one sack for an 8-yard loss. He also recorded a pass breakup, contributing across multiple areas of the defensive effort.

Brown's pressure in the backfield helped disrupt Lincoln's offensive rhythm as Winston-Salem State limited the Lions to 283 yards of total offense. His two tackles for loss and sack highlighted his impact up front, while the pass breakup added to an all-around performance from the defensive lineman.

The Rams' 21-14 victory over Lincoln followed their 43-14 win over Bluefield State on Oct. 17, giving Winston-Salem State back-to-back wins. The consecutive victories have provided momentum for the Rams as they continue their 2026 campaign.
