Charlotte, N.C– The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team fell to Johnson C. Smith University 71-63 inside the Brayboy Gymnasium.
The Rams moved to (7-17, 2-13 CIAA, 0-9 South).
Masaun Bryant led the Rams with a career-high 33 points and eight rebounds, followed by Lance Gill with 11 points.

How It Happened
In the first half, the Rams took a 7-4 lead on a Masaun Byrant lay-up (17:32). JCSU went on a 5-0 run, taking a 9-7 lead on a lay-up (13:26). WSSU went on a 6-2 run, taking a 17-13 lead on two Masaun Byrant free-throws (5:27). A Khyelle Ingram lay-up gave the Rams a 21-15 lead (3;32). JSCU closed the half on a 10-2 run, taking a 25-23 lead into halftime.
In the second half, two Masaun Byrant free-throws tied the game at 25-25 (19:56). The Golden Bulls extended their lead to 34-29 (16:42). The Rams went on a 6-2 run, cutting the lead to 43-42 on a Bryson Cowan lay-up (9:30). WSSU went on another 6-2 run, taking a 51-50 on a Masaun Byrant three-pointer (7:31). JCSU closed the game out on a 21-12 run.
