WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Winston-Salem State University Athletics is adding a new resource to help tell the stories behind Rams Athletics through a partnership with FanWord, the leading AI technology & storytelling company in college sports.
Through the partnership, WSSU will implement FanWord Assist, an AI-powered communications platform built specifically for college athletics. The platform will streamline the Rams' day-to-day content needs such as game recaps, feature stories, player bios, award nominations, transcriptions and other digital content — all while giving the communications team more opportunities to showcase the student-athletes, coaches and programs that represent Winston-Salem State.
"Our goal is always to find new ways to tell the stories of our student-athletes, coaches and programs while continuing to elevate the standard of WSSU Athletics," said Tristian "TJ" Gunter, Assistant Athletics Director for Communications at Winston-Salem State. "FanWord Assist gives our communications team another valuable resource to help us work more efficiently and, most importantly, create more opportunities to highlight the people and stories that make WSSU the standard."
The Rams join a growing network of more than 250 athletics organizations across all levels of college sports using FanWord Assist to support their communications and storytelling efforts, such as Bowie State, Queens, Greensboro College, and UNC Pembroke.
