Biography
2015-16: Jasmine broke out to become one of the team’s top offensive players in her second season…The best effort of her career came against Lincoln (Pa.) when she recorded a career-high 18 points...She also had 12 points against Washington Adventist at the Elizabeth City State Classic…The effort came in the midst of a three-game span where she reached double-digit scoring, including scoring 11 points against Wilmington (Del.) and 12 points against Brevard…She also scored 15 points in a win over Fayetteville State and 10 points against Shaw in the quarterfinal round of the 2016 CIAA Tournament…Her best rebounding effort of the season came against Bowie State when she pulled in a career-high 14 rebounds.
2014-15: Jasmine had a solid first season with the WSSU women’s basketball program...She had an immediate impact on the program...She played in 24 of the team’s 28 games with four starts...She finished season averaging 4.6 points per game and 2.8 rebounds per game...She scored a career-high 13 points against Benedict...She stepped up her efforts when she averaged 10 points per game at the 2015 CIAA Tournament.
Personal: Jasmine joined the Rams in the fall of 2014 where she will be one of many talented newcomers to the team…She comes to Winston-Salem State after playing a season at the College of Charleston…She is a 2013 graduate from Lexington Senior High in Lexington, North Carolina…She earned numerous honors during her career, including earned all-conference honors four times and all-district honors three times…She was also named team MVP four times…She is Computer Science major and the daughter of Charles and Katrina Carter.
