2020: Daijah was on her way to capping a tremendous career before the 2020 season was cut short. She played in all 18 games for the Rams. She was batting .294 for the season with 15 hits in 51 at bats with eight doubles and four RBI. Her best game of the season came against Clark Atlanta when she went three-for-four with three runs scored and two RBI.
2019: Daijah made a great leap forward in her junior season…She started in 41 of the Rams’ 46 games…She finished the season with .462 batting average…She totaled 61 hits in 132 at-bats…She had nine doubles, five triples, and nine home runs…She also added a pair of stolen bases…Defensively, she recorded 77 putouts with 55 assists and just four fielding errors…She compiled a .971 fielding percentage....For her efforts, she earned several honors, including being a first team All-CIAA selection as well as being named to the Division II CCA All-America Team...She was also an NFCA All-Region selection and she was named to the NCCSIA College Division All-State Team.
2018: Daijah returned for a great sophomore season for the Rams…She played in 38 games with 38 starts for the Rams…She totaled a .292 batting average with 31 hits in 106 at-bats…She had three doubles with a triple and six home runs…She scored 30 runs with 25 RBI…She was 13-of-14 on stolen bases…Defensively, she had 54 putouts with 54 assists and only nine fielding errors…She had a .908 fielding percentage.
2017: Daijah had a great impact in her first season….She played in 46 of the team’s 47 games…She finished the season with a .284 batting average…She had 31 hits in 109 at-bats…She had a double, a triple, and four home runs…She finished the season with 28 runs scored with 14 RBI…Defensively, she recorded 64 putouts with 33 assists and 15 fielding errors for an .866 fielding percentage.
Personal: Daijah joined the Rams in the fall of 2016…She is a 2016 graduate of James River High School where she had a strong career including earning first and second team all-conference honors during her career…She was also impressive academically when earned spots on the Principal Leadership Council and in the National Society of High School Scholars…She is a Biology major and the daughter of Karen and Jonathan Chambers.
