Biography

2016: Rebecca had a solid first season with the Rams and became a solid contributor to the team both offensively and defensively...She played in 52 of the team's 53 total games...She finished the season with a .270 batting average with 41 hits, including three doubles, a triple, and a home run...She also recorded 21 runs scored and 13 RBI...Defensively, she had a .938 fielding percentage with 75 putouts and 77 assists in 162 total chances with just 10 errors...She was named to the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) All-Tournament team as well.

Personal: Rebecca joined the Rams softball program in the winter of 2016 where she is one of many strong additions to the team...She comes to WSSU after two seasons at Monroe College in New Rochelle, New York...During her time at Monroe College, she was named the team MVP for the 2015 season...She is a graduate of the Manhattan Center for Science & Mathematics...During her high school career, she earned several honors, including being named the Wyoming Valley Conference Division I Most Valuable Player and earned Class AAAA first team All-State honors...She was also named to the National Fast-Pitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-American...She is a Criminal Justice major and the daughter of Michael and the late Susan Demko.
