2020: Leah played in five games for the Rams before their season was cut short due to COVID-19. She made four pitching appearances with an 0-3 record. She recorded four strikeouts and she finished the season with a 10.77 earned run average (ERA). She had two plate appearances with a walk.

Personal: Leah joined the Rams in the fall of 2019…She comes to Winston-Salem State after graduating from Frederick Douglass High School where she had a terrific high school career…She was named her team MVP as well as winning the Lady Eagle Award…She also nominated for the Prince George County Scholastic Athlete Award…She was a member of the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) Tournament Championship Team…She was just as impressive off the field where she was an Honor Roll student along with being a member of her high school homecoming court…She was a Peer Leader, Mentor, and a Peer Mediator….She also completed the IB MYP Project…She was an AKA Upsilon TAU Omega Scholarship Recipient…She also won the PBS Student Reporting Labs Award…She is an Exercise Science major and she is the daughter of DeShane and Anthony Thomas.
