Biography

A’yonna joined the Rams in the fall of 2020. She came to Winston-Salem State University after two seasons at Catawba. She is a graduate of South Iredell High School where she was a four-year starter and helped lead her team to the second round of the conference playoffs in 2018. She was also an academic star as she earned a CNA certification as well as a spot in the BETA Club and the National Honor Society. She held a 4.3 GPA and was on the A/B Honor Roll for all four years of high school. She graduated in the Top 20% of her class. She is a Nursing major and she is the daughter of Tenikka and Kenyon Waddell.
