2020 Women's Cross Country
Biography
2019: Ojai continued her great career as one of the top distance runners for the Rams. She opened the season with an impressive 24:53.8 at the Fleet Feet Cross Country Invitational before she came back for her best finish of the season. She placed 10th at the Greensboro Cross Country Invitational when she ran a 23:27.1. She saved her second best time of the season for the 2019 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women's Cross Country Championship with a 22:25.2. Her best time of the season came at the Cedric Walker HBCU Challenge at the Grand American Cross Country Festival where she ran a 21:42.8.
2018: Ojai had a strong start to the season, but it was cut short due to injury...She opened the season with a 24:05.3 at the Chick-fil-A Invitational...She then added a 31:34.75 at the Monarch Cross Country Classic before missing the remainder of the season.
2017: Ojai had a great freshman season that saw her become one of the top cross country runners for the Rams...She won the VSU Fall Opener with a 19:35.52 ran a 21:38.3 at the Chick-fil-A Catawba Invitational...She also ran a 6K time of 25:47.23 at the High Point VertCross Invitational...She placed ninth at the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women's Cross Country Championships to earn All-CIAA honors...She ran a 21:02.2 to take home the honors.
Personal: Ojai joined the Rams cross country program in the fall of 2017…She is a 2017 graduate of Concord First Assembly where she earned several honors…She was a first team all-conference cross country selection for all four years of her career as well as earning all-conference honors in the 800m run and all-state honors in the 400m dash…She is a Sport Management major and she is the daughter of Yvonne and Oscar Brooks.
