2021-22: Cooke played in 23 games for the Rams helping them claim the CIAA Southern Division title. He averaged 17.5 points per game, 3.9 rebounds per game, 1.5 assists per game and 1.8 steals per game. He finished the season fifth in the conference (CIAA) in scoring, sixth in field goal percentage (.455) and first in 3-point field goal percentage (.393) and 3-point field goals per game (2.6). He scored a game-high 31 points in a victory over St. Augustine’s on February 24. He was named HBCU Player of the Week and CIAA Player of the Week at least once this season as well as BOXTOROW National Player of the Week. He also was named to the All-CIAA Backcourt Team and CIAA All-Tournament Team. Cooke scored 1,220 points during his career and his 1,000th point with the Rams occurred on Jan 29 against Livingstone finishing the game with 24 points.
2018-20: (Mars Hill): Cooke played in 47 games during his time at Mars Hill, making 27 starts. Averaging 14 ppg and 5.7 rebounds in two seasons. Reached double figures scoring in 34 games, with nine games over 20+ ppg during the 2019-2020 season.
2017-18 (USC Aiken): Redshirted.
High School: Tallied 14.1 points and 1.2 steals per game as a junior Notched 22.8 points, 9.3 rebounds, 4.4 steals, and 3.4 blocks per game as a senior. Two-time all-region honoree, SCISA Region Player of the Year as a senior, All-tournament team and MVP his senior campaign, South Carolina all-star, and Dunk contest winner and Most Outstanding Player.
Personal: Javonte joined the Rams in the fall of 2020. Cooke has played at USC Aiken, and Mars Hill University. Cooke is a graduate of Covenant Classical Christian School. Cooke is the son of Jermaine and Valerie Cooke.
