                        2021-22- Tiarra Smith, freshman at WSSU from Greensboro, NC starts her track colligate career at Winston-Salem College Kick-Off Meet held at the Twin City's JDL FastTrack. The meet featured Division I schools Wake Forest N.C. State and many others in addition to Division II schools. WSSU owned the 800-meter run. Tiarra Smith finished second with a time of 2:26.79. The Winston Salem State indoor track and field team was back in action on January 23 at the JDL Fast Track meet. In the 400m dash, Tiarra Smith ran a time of 1:02.81. In addition, the 4x400 relay team comprised of McLean, Smith, Stample, and Imani Tatum finished with a time of 4:11.61 which resulted in 1st place. Competing at the VMI Winter Relays Tiarra Smith competed in the 800m dash recording time of 2:31.89 respectively. The 4x400m relay comprised of McLean, Smith, Stample, and Willis finished with a time of 4:06.07 which resulted in 2nd place overall. Furthermore team competed in the Camel City Invitational at JDL Fast Track Friday and Saturday. Together the Rams competed in 10 total events throughout the weekend. Tiarra Smith recorded a time of 1:00.78 which resulted in third place overall.
