Biography

2014: Hayden saw several appearances out of the bullpen for the Ram’s in 2014.  Hayden had an opponent batting average of .125.

2013: Missed the entire 2013 Rams season due to a throwing arm injury. Hayden was able to rehab his arm during the season last year and is expected to contribute to the Rams bullpen in 2014.

2011 (Rockingham Community College):  Hayden appeared in 14 games as a freshman……..was 2-2 with a 2.3 ERA in 27.1 innings pitched. 

HIGH SCHOOL:  At RJ Reynolds, Hayden was a member of the All-Conference and All-County baseball team……..also presented with the Student Athlete Award……..played high school ball with fellow Rams Craven Knotts and Connor Andrus.

PERSONAL:  Parents are Gary and Leah O’Neal…….favorite team is the New York Yankees…….favorite athlete is Derek Jeter……..favorite thing about WSSU Baseball is the rising program and knowledgeable coaching staff.

COACH RITSCHE ON O’NEAL:  “Hayden will provide us with a much different look out of the bullpen this spring.  He will likely be called upon as a specialist to nail down important outs late in games.
