Biography

2016-17: Jamel played in 26 of the team’s 27 games with 15 starts…He finished the season totaling 163 points with 109 rebounds…For the season, he averaged 6.3 points per game along with 4.2 rebounds…He also added 13 blocks and 16 steals…His best game of the season came at UNC Pembroke where he scored a career-high 17 points…He also recorded 14 points against Lees-McRae…He also pulled in a career-best 10 rebounds against Lees-McRae.

2015-16: Jamel had a solid freshman season with the Rams....He played in all 28 games with three starts...He finished the season with 104 total points and 65 total rebounds...For the season, he averaged 3.7 points and 2.3 rebounds per game...His best effort of the season came against Montreat College when he scored a career-high nine points...He also pulled in six rebounds against Montreat as well as in a division game against Fayetteville State.

Personal: Jamel joined the Rams in the fall of 2015 where he was one of the many talented newcomers to the team…He is a graduate of Wake Forest High School where he earned Cap 8 all-conference honorable mention…He was also a third team all-district honoree…He is the son of A.J. and Ronica McAllister.
