It was on October 3, 1943 when the Rams made their gridiron debut at Bowman Gray Stadium. In the over seven decades later, the stadium has become the place that the Rams call home.

In 1947, a paved track was placed within the stadium and it would remain a feature of the stadium ever since. It was in 1956 when the NASCAR Grand National Series (now the Sprint Cup), first raced at Bowman Gray Stadium in 1958. Since then, Rams football and Bowman Gray Racing have led a cojoined effort to share the stadium and have enjoyed one of the most unique fan experiences in the country.
