Biography

2014: 

Hatch appeared in 36 games as an infielder while also making 15 appearances as a pitcher for the Rams in 2014…He batted .304 with six doubles and two home runs….He also posted a 6-3 record and 4.11 ERA as a pitcher.  2014 Highlights:  He went two-for-three with an RBI against Chowan on 3/1/14…He went three-for-four with three RBI and a home run against Lander on 4/2/14… He threw eight innings, allowing one earned run and getting the win against Mars Hill on 3/22/14…He earned the victory over seven innings pitched while allowing four hits, one earned run, and striking out three against Catawba on 4/8/14…He pitched seven innings allowing one earned run collecting two K’s in a the opening game of the 2014 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) tournament against Saint Augustine’s on 4/17/14.

2013 (EVERETT COMMUNITY COLLEGE, EVERETT, WA.): Won a NWAACC Title in 2013...Went 3-1 on the mound with an ERA of 2.47 in 54.2 IP...Earned two saves and struck out 39 compared to 17 walks.  

2012 (EVERETT COMMUNITY COLLEGE, EVERETT, WA.): Participated in the 2012 Sophomore showcase. 

High School: Aaron is from Monroe, Washington where he attended Monroe High...He was a three-time letterwinner for baseball...He was named 1st team All-State as a shortstop, and 2nd team All-State as a pitcher... He was voted team captain and team MVP in 2011, and a conference Honorable Mention shortstop in 2010.

 Personal: Aaron is the son of parents Jeff and Stacy Hatch.

 Favorite thing about WSSU Baseball: The program’s winning tradition, the atmosphere it brings, the facilities, and the coaching staff.

COACH RITSCHE ON HATCH: “Aaron continues to be one of the most hard-working kids we’ve had in this program. Aaron was an all-state shortstop in high school but didn’t play a position for Everett in college. His performance as a two-way player in 2014 proved his athletic ability.  We expect him return to our starting rotation again in 2015 and play 2B or 3B when not pitching this spring."
