2011 • RAMS FALL LEAGUE:  Jacob had the most impressive season for a freshman in Rams Fall League history…..earned Rookie of the Fall honors after leading the league in batting average (.457) with 21 hits in only 46 at-bats…..hit 4 doubles and his slugging percentage was an impressive .609 against some of the best pitching that black squad had to offer….was second in runs scored (10) and also stole 4 bases…..

HIGH SCHOOL:  Jacob was a four-sport athlete while at West Stokes High School……lettered in baseball and basketball 3 years, soccer for 2 years, and football for 1…... was All-Conference, All-Tournament, and All-Northwest for baseball his junior and senior seasons…..head baseball coach was Kirk Goodson……

PERSONAL:  Physical Education major……born 1/23/93……parents are Jeff and Allyson Nunn……career goal after college is to get a good job with his degree…..most memorable sports moment is being in the final eight of the state play-offs and hitting a walk-off homerun……favorite thing about WSSU baseball is playing games at BB&T ballpark…..

COACH RITSCHE ON NUNN:  “From the second I watched Jacob play in high school I wanted him because he looked scrappy, dirty and savvy.  I think that he has the opportunity to put up some big career offensive numbers at WSSU over the next 4 years.  He can flat-out hit but needs defensive work to become a mainstay in the lineup this spring.  We will experiment with him at some different positions early in the spring but he will most likely spend most of his time at 2B.”
