2011 • SOPHOMORE SEASON (University of North Carolina-Greensboro):  Pete threw 4.0 innings for the Spartans in 2011. 

HIGH SCHOOL:  At East Forsyth High School Pete was voted the team MVP while also earning All-Conference twice and being named to the All-Area team……..in the classroom Pete performed well, earning student of the year honors.

PERSONAL:  Pete is the son of Kevin and Pat Shultz……..favorite team is the New York Mets…….favorite athlete is David Wright……..major is Sports Management……..favorite thing about WSSU Baseball is the winning tradition.

COACH RITSCHE ON SCHULTZ:  “Although Pete didn’t throw much at Division 1 UNCG prior to transferring, he had an excellent summer campaign with the Asheboro Copperheads of the Coastal Plains League (CPL).  He keeps the ball down in the zone and has excellent off-speed.   We will look to go to Pete early and often this spring.”
