Biography

2013 FRESHMAN SEASON: Appeared in 8 games as in outfielder. Vernon batted .286 with an RBI and 2 runs scored in his freshman season.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Vernon attended Hopewell High School in Huntersville, NC. 

PERSONAL: Vernon Carr is the son of Angela Davidson and Darvin Carr……..his favorite baseball team is the New York Yankees……..Vernon’s favorite athlete is Jason Heyward……..co-founded his own clothing line (Huey)…….favorite thing at WSSU Baseball is having the best facilities in college baseball to play at   

COACH RITSCHE ON CARR:  “Vernon has an XL frame and some good tools to develop into a solid baseball player.  His improving bat and glove will help him compete for time in the outfield this spring.
