Marcus Pearson

For the past six years, Marcus Pearson has been a vital part of the Winston-Salem State University Rams football program. In the role of offensive assistant coach and video coordinator, his input and leadership has helped to keep the Rams football program to remain one of the top programs in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region.

During his time with the Rams, Pearson has helped to propel the football program forward in numerous ways. Currently, he primarily works with the Rams offensive line that has become one of the premier units in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) and has included several all-conference performers during his time. He was a vital part of the Rams’ back-to-back CIAA championship teams during the 2015 and 2016 seasons. In addition to working with the Rams’ offensive line, he has also managed the Rams football film room as well.

Prior to joining the Rams’ coaching staff, Pearson had a successful coaching career. He was a Director of Player Personnel with the Colorado Ice of the Indoor Football League. He was also a part of the Billings Outlaws that won a pair of national championships in the Indoor Football League.

It was as a student-athlete when Pearson developed his love for the game. During his senior season at West Wilkes High School, he left a major mark when he recorded 13 interceptions.

Pearson is a 2018 graduate of Winston-Salem State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management. He is the father of four children, Desiree Pearson, Jasmine Pearson, Ryan Croom, and Ronnie Croom. He is married to Patti Angela Pearson.
