2023-2024: Jaylen had a another great season with the Rams playing in 28 games and started in 27. He averaged 18 points with 8.5 rebounds, 33 assists, 26 steals, and 13 blocks. He was named CIAA Player of the year and All CIAA Front Court

2022-23: Jaylen had a great season with the Rams playing in 29 games starting in 23. He averaged 11.6 points with 6.9 rebounds, 37 assists, 25 steals, and five blocks. He averaged .505 from the field. Jaylen and the Rams won the 2023 CIAA Basketball Championship and he was named to the All-CIAA Tournament Team as well as the Tournament MVP.

2019-20: Jaylen made an immediate impact on the Rams with a terrific season. He played in 28 of the team's 29 games with 27 starts. He finished the season with 351 total points and he averaged 12.5 points per game. He ranked second on the team in points per game and he was second in steals (27). He was also second on the team in rebounding with 169. His best game of the season came against Virginia Union when he tied a season-high with 23 points and eight rebounds. He pulled in a career-high 12 rebounds in the semifinal round of the 2019 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Men's Basketball Championship Tournament. He was named to the 2020 CIAA Men's Basketball All-Tournament Team. 

Personal: Jaylen joined the Rams in the fall of 2019. He came to Winston-Salem State after playing a season at Gardner-Webb University where he played in nine games for the Runnin' Bulldogs. He is a graduate of Eastern Guilford High School where he led his team to the NCHSAA Class 3-A Championship game and he earned an invitation to the prestigious North Carolina Top 80 event. He earned AP All-State recognition as well as earning the HSXtra.com Player of the Year honor.
