Biography
2022-2023: The senior guard played in 30 games this season and he started in 6 of them. He averaged 2.5 points per game and 2.1 rebounds per game.
2021-22: Fennell was a key contributor for the Rams. He played in 22 games starting in 10 competitions. Fennell averaged 6.1 points, with a shooting percentage of .531 4.2 rebounds. Fennell finished among the top rebounders in the CIAA. Was a Lowes Senior Class Award Nominee.
2019-20: Xavier returned for a strong sophomore season with the Rams. He played in 26 of the team's 29 games and he finished the season with 88 total points. He had two of his top scoring games of the season at the 2020 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Men's Basketball Championship Tournament. He opened the tournament with 11 points against Livingstone and he followed the effort with 11 points against Fayetteville State in the tournament championship game. He also scored a season-high 12 points against Shaw.
2018-19: Xavier had a terrific freshman season with the Rams. As the sole freshman on the squad, he made an immediate impact on the team. He played in all 27 games with 24 starts. His best game of the season came against Morris when he scored a season-high 15 points at home and pulled in a season-high 10 rebounds on the road. For his efforts, he earned a spot on the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) All-Rookie Team.
Personal: Xavier joined the Rams in the fall of 2018. He is a graduate of Knightdale High School where he was a Greater Neuse River All-Conference selection.
