Personal: Artreya will join the Lady Rams' squad in the fall of 2009 and will have a chance to make an immediate impact with the graduation of former Lady Ram first baseman Leslie Hollis...Jernigan is a talented athlete from Apex High School in Apex, N.C. where she earned numerous athletic and academic honors...She earned two varsity letters in softball at Apex High School where she played catcher and first base...She was named team MVP in 2007 and earned honors for sportsmanship in 2008 and 2009...Also a star off the field, she earned the 3.0 or Higher GPA Award...She is an Exercise Science major and the daughter of Kaye Woodard.
