2012: Bria had a fantastic freshman season for the Lady Rams that saw her take over the team’s catcher duties…She became a starter early in the season and never looked back…She finished the season with a pair of pickoffs and eight runners caught stealing…she also had just 12 passed balls for the season…As a batter, she was solid as well with a .265 batting average, going 36 hits in 136 at-bats…She also added 28 RBI with a triple and eight doubles. 

Personal: Bria joined the Lady Rams in the fall of 2011 where she was one of many talented newcomers to the team…She is a 2011 graduate of Jack Britt High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina where she earned three varsity letters in softball and numerous honors…She was a member of back-to-back Mid-South Conference championship teams…She earned first team all-tournament honors as well as first team all-conference, all-region, and all-state honors…She was also a star in the classroom, graduating with honors and ranking among the top 10% of her graduating class…She is also a WSSU Chancellor’s Scholar…She is a Political Science major and the daughter of Wayne Jones and Angelia Joseph.
