2018: Erica had a great first season with the Rams...She stepped into a starting role for the team and contributed right away...She finished the season as the team's leader in RBI (37) and home runs (8)....She also led the team with a .386 batting average with 39 hits in 101 at-bats...She also added two doubles with five triples...As a pitcher, she finished the season with an 8-13 record with a 66 strikeouts and a 5.29 earned run average (ERA)...She earned second team All-CIAA honors for her performance during the season.

Personal: Erica came to Winston-Salem State in the fall of 2017…She came to WSSU after a season at Claflin University where she was a member of the Panthers’ Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) championship team…She is a 2016 graduate of Bunn High School where she earned several honors including being named a three-time conference pitcher of the year, a three-time all-conference selection, an all-district selection, a Golden Glove Award winner and a team MVP…She was also a star in the classroom where she was a member of the National Beta Club, the National Technical Honors Society, a RhoKappa Honors Society…She also earned a spot on the Honor Roll and graduated with a 4.0 GPA…At Claflin, she was a member of the Alice Carson Tisdale Honors College and earned a spot on the Dean’s List…She is an Elementary Education major and she is the daughter of Paula and Jeff Davis.
