2016:Katherine had a solid junior season with the Rams...She played in 46 of the team's 53 games and was a solid player both offensively and defensively...She finished the season with a .336 batting average with 45 hits in 134 at-bats...She also totaled 33 runs scored with 25 RBI, two doubles four triples, and a home run...Defensively, she had a .966 fielding percentage with 137 putouts and six assists in just five errors in 148 total chances...As a pitcher, she made five appearances with a 1-2 record...She pitched in 17.1 innings and recorded 12 strikeouts with just five walks allowed.

2015: Katherine had a strong first season with the Rams…She played in 43 of the team’s 45 games…She finished the season with a .346 batting average and 30 RBI..She also had a pair of home runs and two doubles…She also had 10 pitching appearances and was 5-0 as a starter with five complete games…She had a 3.44 earned run average (ERA) and recorded 32 strikeouts.

Personal: Katherine joined the Lady Rams program in the fall of 2014 where she was one of many talented newcomers to the team…She comes to WSSU after spending a season at UNC-Pembroke…She is a 2010 graduate of Robert B. Glenn High School where she earned four varsity letters in softball…She also lettered twice in swimming…During her career, she earned numerous honors, including being named pitcher of the year and earning all-conference, all-district, and all-state honors as a senior…She also recorded two perfect games and set a school record with 166 strikeouts…She is a Psychology major and the daughter of Jen and Brian Zimmer.
