2025: Malia played and started in all 32 games for WSSU finishing the season with a .333 batting average. Malia was named to the CIAA Pre-Season Team and was named to the All-CIAA Second Team. She recorded 25 runs on 34 hits with 9 doubles, two triples and 19 RBIs. She also recorded 31 put outs with 6 assists.

Appeared in 38 games with 38 starts… Batted .362 with 47 hits, 31 RBIs and hit her very first collegiate homerun last season against the Fayetteville State Broncos. Â
2024: Malia Simmons played in 38 games starting all 38. Batting an average of .362 Malia had 31 runs, 47 hits, and 31 RBIs. with a fielding stat average at .971, Malia had a blazing 126 putouts to end the seasonÂ
2023: Simmons, who was also named to the All-CIAA preseason team, played in 33 games for the Rams with 31 starts, she finished batting .260 on the season. She had 18 runs on 25 hits with four doubles, one triple, and 16 RBIs. She had 42 putouts this year and was named to the All-CIAA Second Team.
2022: Played in 22 games for the Rams finishing with a .397 batting average…had one home run, 25 RBIs, 26 runs, 29 hits, nine doubles, four triples and seven stolen bases…was named CIAA Offensive Player of the Week once this season
Personal:Â Malia joined the Rams in the Spring of 2022. She is a 2021 graduate of Vance County High School, where she played catcher and shortstop on her softball team, and earned Best all-around player, MVP, and All conference for softball. She is an Elementary education major, and she is the daughter of Thomas and Kimberly Simmons.
