Biography
2016-17: Briana stepped up for a solid junior season with the Rams…She played in 27 of the team’s 28 games and made four starts…She finished the season with 118 total points and averaged 4.4 points per game…She really made a difference in the post for the Rams where she pulled in 128 total rebounds and averaged 4.7 rebounds per game…Her best game of the season came against Saint Augustine’s where she scored a season-high 14 points, one point shy of tying her career-high…She also scored 13 points at Johnson C. Smith with 10 points in a win over Chowan…She also pulled in a season-high 10 rebounds at Shaw as well.
2015-16: Briana followed up a strong freshman season with a big step forward during her sophomore season…She played in all 28 games with 21 starts and had a career-high 15 points and 12 rebounds against Wilmington (Del.) at the Elizabeth City State Classic…She also had 12 points at Shepherd and against Brevard and Saint Augustine’s…She also pulled in career-high nine rebounds at Livingstone and had eight in an opening round win at the 2016 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Tournament.
2014-15: Briana had a solid freshman season with the Rams and provided a much needed punch off the bench...She played in 24 of the team’s 28 games with three starts...For the season, she totaled 32 points and averaged 1.3 points per game...She also totaled 45 rebounds and averaged 1.9 rebounds per game...She made the most of games in her hometown with her best efforts of the season coming at Saint Augustine’s where she scored a career-high seven points and at Shaw where she scored five points...She also recorded a pair of steals against the Bears as well...Her best rebounding effort of the season came against Virginia Union when she pulled in eight rebounds.
Personal: Briana will join the Lady Rams in the fall of 2014 where she is one of many talented newcomers to the team…She is a 2014 graduate of East Wave High School and a native of Raleigh, North Carolina…During her high school career, she earned all-academic honors and was also named Most Improved…She is a Nursing major and the daughter of Rod and Pat Arnold.
