Winston-Salem State University

Linwood Skinner Jr joined the Winston-Salem State University women’s basketball coaching staff in the Fall of 2017.  As a 3^rd generation Ram, he is a focused professional with 20+ years of experience in coaching and mentoring at the highest level of Amateur Athletics, representing the state of North Carolina competing for State and National Championships.

Skinner is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina where he was a standout basketball player at R.J. Reynolds High School.  Skinner earned a full basketball scholarship to Barton College.  Skinner is employed at Winston-Salem State University as the Job Location and Development Coordinator in the Office of Career Development Services.  Skinner serves on several local boards and continues to mentor in the Winston-Salem community.

Skinner is a 2001 graduate of Winston-Salem State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Management Concentration.  Skinner is married to Winston-Salem State graduate, Tamika Skinner.
