Biography
2019-20: Jahlia completed her career with the Rams with a strong senior season. She played in all 31 games with 29 starts. She finished the season as the team leader with 94 assists and 46 steals. Her best game of the season came at West Virginia State when she scored 15 points. She also had seven assists aganst Claflin.
2018-19: Jahlia continued her career with a strong junior season. She played in all 28 of the team's games and she finished the season averaging 4.4 points per game. She scored a season-high 12 points against Saint Augustine's.
2017-18: Jahlia had a solid sophomore season. She played in all 27 games for the Rams. She finished season averaging 5.0 points per game...She also added 110 assists with 36 steals. She scored 16 points in a win at Shaw and she also added 11 points against Converse and Fayetteville State.
2016-17: Jahlia stepped up for a great freshman season with the Rams. She played in 27 of the team’s 28 games and worked her way into a starting position for much of the season. She started in 13 games as a true freshman point guard. She finished the season with 82 total points and 22 steals. She also added 41 assists…She saved her best game of the season for when it counted when she scored a career-high 11 points with three assists against Elizabeth City State in the opening round of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women’s Basketball Championship Tournament. She also recorded a career-best eight assists in a game against Livingstone.
Personal: Jahlia joined the Rams in the fall of 2016…She was one of several talented newcomers to the team. She is a 2016 graduate of Northern Nash High School where she earned several academic and athletic honors. She earned Big East All-Conference honors twice and was named the Northern Nash Player MVP and earned the Defensive Player of the Year awards. She was also named to the Big East Christmas Tournament Team twice and was an All-Area first team selection as a senior and she was named the U.S. Marine’s Distinguished Athlete Award. Academically, she earned the NRMPS Academic Excellence Award along with being named a North Carolina Academic Scholar and a National Technical Honor Society inductee. She was also a National Honor Society Graduate and earned the North Carolina Area AHEC Passport Award…She is the daughter of Renee and Michael Williams.
