2011: Aquila had a solid freshman year with the Lady Rams…She competed in six meets for the team and had some quality performances…She opened the season on a high note where she led the team with a ninth place finish at the Guilford College Cross Country Carnival with a 21:42.19…Her personal best time came at the HBCU Challenge at the Great American Cross Country Festival…She ran a 21:31.3 in the 5K event to place 35^th.

Personal: Aquila joined the Lady Rams in the fall of 2011 where she will look to strengthen the already impressive Lady Rams squad…She is a 2011 graduate of Pennsauken High School in Pennsauken, New Jersey where she earned numerous honors…She earned four varsity letters in cross country as well as track & field…She led the team to the Olympic Conference 4x400m relay championship in 2009…She also earned athlete of the week honors three times during her career…She was named the team’s Most Outstanding Runner three times…She was also honored as the Spring Track Most Dedicated Athlete in 2008…She also took home the Coaches’ Award in 2007…In 2010, she also took home the Girls Track Captains Award… In indoor track & field, she took home the most outstanding runner award in 2009, the most improved award in 2008, and the newcomer award in 2007…She is the daughter of Richard Jones and Adraniece Maxey-Jones.
