Biography
25-26 Cross Country:
Ava had an amazing seaon, helping her team capture second at the CIAA Cross Country Championships. She was named Female Runner of the Week once this season. She had top-ten finishes in every race this season and helped the Rams capture first place at both of the meets hosted by Livingstone College.
Personal:
Ava Millner is a freshman on the Winston-Salem State University track & field/cross country team, majoring in Medical Laboratory Science. A native of Atco, New Jersey, Millner is a graduate of Winslow Township High School, where she was part of a dominant track program that claimed multiple sectional and state championships. Individually, she set school records in the 5K, mile, and 4x800 relay while earning state and sectional titles beginning her sophomore year. Millner was also a member of both the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society, showcasing excellence in the classroom as well as on the track.
Off the track, Millner enjoys reading, journaling, and shopping, and she hopes to pursue a career as a medical laboratory scientist or pathologist. She admires Olympic champion Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone and roots for the Philadelphia Eagles and the U.S. Track & Field team. Her most memorable moment so far was signing her National Letter of Intent to join the WSSU Rams, marking the start of her collegiate athletic journey.
