2016-17: Bria missed much of the 2016-17 season..She was able to place third in the triple jump at the 2017 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Personal: Bria joined the Rams in the fall of 2016…She is a 2016 graduate of Ardrey Kell High School where she earned several honors, including being named team MVP and holding school records in the triple jump…She also earned all-conference honors…She placed in the top four in the region for three years and earned a spot on the all-county team…She was also a member of a team that won three conference championships and was a 4A state runner-up…She was a also selected for the 2016 Charlotte Observer girls track & field team…In the classroom, she earned several honors as well…She was named to the honor roll and was a member of the Honor Society…She is an Accounting/Business Administration major and she is the daughter of Kim Phifer and Anthony Mercer.
